Hebrews 6:9–12 (ESV)
9 Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better things—things that belong to salvation. 10 For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. 11 And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
I. It is your responsibility to belong to a local Bible believing Church

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Acts 2:41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
Hebrews 2:12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.

Ephesians 5:25……Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,

II. It is your responsibility to faithfully support the ministry of your local Church

Malachi 3:10 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

1 Corinthians 16:2 On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper

2 Corinthians 9:6 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

III. It is your responsibility to faithfully work within the organization of your local church.

Ephesians 4:8,11-12 Therefore He says: “He… gave gifts to men… And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,”
Ephesians 3:21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Psalm 84:10 For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

IV. It is your responsibility to faithfully fellowship within your local church

Hebrews 10:24–25 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Nehemiah 13:11 “…Why is the house of God forsaken?”

V. It is your responsibility to bring others into the body of Christ and your local church.
Luke 14:23 ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.

1 Timothy 3:15 If I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress (foundation) of the truth.
Romans 1:13….. I have often intended to come to you in order that I may reap some harvest among you as well as among the rest of the Gentiles.

John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide

John 15:8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.

Colossians 1:10 Walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work

Matthew 21:43 Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits.

1 Peter 3:15 Always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,

1 Corinthians 9:22 To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. 23 I do it all for the sake of the gospel
